DOES THE CAMPAIGN HAVE A HEADQUARTERS?

The campaign has no geographic headquarters, and this is by design. Although an effort like this must start somewhere, and with someone, our aspiration is to be a true movement of the world. We have members of our team working in Africa, America, Asia, Europe and Oceania.

WHO IS BEHIND CITIZENS ALLIANCE? WHEN DID THE PROJECT START?

Citizens Alliance is a movement of the people, by the people and for the people independent of any commercial or governmental influence. Organizations like the OECD are encouraging this work. For more information on who we are, our goals and our story please visit our Home page.

WHAT’S DIFFERENT AND NEW FROM OTHER INITIATIVES?

During the past half-century, there have been high-level discussions on this idea, academic research and individual proclamations, as the recognition for its place in human society has grown. Yet, never before in the history of the world has there been a systematic, continuing, diverse and open dialogue involving citizens dialogue designed to define, legitimize and evolve universal human responsibilities. Our campaign is designed so that citizens from all over the globe at all levels and of all types can find a simple, specific, powerful, actionable common ground for transformative action on major global issues.

WHAT METRICS ARE WE GOING TO USE TO MEASURE IF THE PROJECT IS SUCCESSFUL IN EACH STAGE?

Our performance and accountability model is built around our theory of change, which is focused on long-term, sustainable and meaningful results which catalyze existing efforts around the world
to improve quality of life as defined by the global sustainable development goals. It is a four-part model of  1) the number and quality of people involved,  2) the quality of their experience with our work,  3) the efficiency, resilience and quality of the capacity we build, and 4) improvement in the rates of change in reaching the global sustainable development goals.

"Today, more than ever before, life must be characterized by a sense of universal responsibility, not only nation to nation and human to human, but also human to other forms of life."
